Flare - Shopify App Privacy Policy

1. Introduction Welcome to Flare ("we," "us," or "our").
We have developed a Shopify App (the "App") that enables online store owners using Shopify ("Merchants") to manage order ahead functionality in your online store. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the App. By using the App, you agree to the terms and practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect We collect and process the following information from Merchants and their customers:
2.1. Merchant Information:
• Contact Information: We may collect and store the Merchant's contact information, including name and email address.
• Order data: We may collect and store the Merchant’s sales, order and product data.
2.2. Customer Information:
• Email Addresses: We collect and store customer email addresses provided by Merchants for the purpose of managing and communicating pre-orders.
• Order data: We access order data for customers to effectively release orders on time, in-line with the functionality of Flare, we do not store any of this data aside from the ID of the order.
3. How We Use Information We use the collected information for the following purposes: 3.1. App Functionality:
• To provide the App's core functionality, including managing pre-orders, orders ahead of time and communicating with Merchants and customers.
3.2. Customer Communication:
• To send order updates, pre-order information, and other transaction-related emails to customers.
3.3. App Improvement:
• To improve the App's functionality, features, and user experience.
3.4. Customer Support:
• To provide customer support to Merchants in relation to the App.
4. Disclosure of Information We may share personal information with third parties only in the following circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers:
• We may engage third-party service providers to assist with App-related services, such as email communication and analytics. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect personal information and are only permitted to use it for the purposes specified by us.
4.2 Legal Compliance:
• We may disclose personal information if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.
5. Data Retention
• We will retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
• We will retain the right to erase customer or retailer specific data should the need become necessary.
